You can install Audirvāna Studio/Origin on as many computers as you want; however, you can connect your account to only one computer at a time.
First, you need to create an account to use Audirvāna (more about how to create your account).
Once activated, download Audirvāna from our website

Install Audirvāna on macOS
- Double-click on the Audirvana x.x.x.dmg file you downloaded.
- Agree with Audirvāna Studio/Audirvāna Origin contract.
- Drag and drop the Audirvāna Studio/Origin icon to the Application folder:

Install Audirvāna on Windows
To install and update Audirvana on Windows 10/11, you need an App-Installer; this app is installed by default when using Windows 10 1803.
You can install it free from the Microsoft Store if you don't have it.
Depending on the version of Windows you use, you may require some extra steps before doing the installation of Audirvāna:

The process to install Audirvāna on Windows Server
Once you have the App-Installer installed, double-click on the installation file, which will open the Audirvāna Studio/Audirvāna Origin installation:

Note: in case you have an error, please check if App Installer is up to date. If it's the case, contact us with a screenshot of the error you get.Install Audirvāna on Linux
The installation process depends on the Linux distribution:
- For Debian-based distributions (Ubuntu, Linux Mint, etc.):
Download the **.deb file** for your system architecture from our website
Install the package using your package manager or terminal:
sudo dpkg -i /path/to/audirvana-studio_X.X.X.X_amd64.debReplace the filename with the actual file you downloaded.
Install Avahi Daemon (required for network discovery):
sudo apt-get install avahi-daemon- For RPM-based distributions (Fedora, CentOS, etc.)
Download the **.rpm file** for your system architecture from our website
Install the package using your package manager or terminal:
sudo dnf install /path/to/audirvana-studio_X.X.X.X_x86_64.rpmReplace the filename with the actual file you downloaded.
Once installed, the executable will be located at /opt/audirvana/studio or /opt/audirvana/origin, where you can start Audirvāna.
You have two options to run it:
- Start manually
/opt/audirvana/studioor
/opt/audirvana/origin- Run as a service at boot
To automatically start Audirvāna on system startup, run:
sudo /opt/audirvana/studio/setAsService.sh enable
sudo /opt/audirvana/studio/setAsService.sh start
Important Notes:
- Avahi Daemon is essential for the Audirvāna Remote app to discover your Audirvāna instance on the network
- No GUI on Linux: Audirvāna Studio runs headless on Linux, so you'll control it entirely through the Audirvāna Remote app on your phone or tablet
- Configuration files are stored in ~/.config/audirvana
- Database and logs are in ~/.local/share/audirvana
Install Audirvāna on Synology NAS
Connect to your Synology GUI using Synology Assistant to install Audirvāna.
Once connected, open the Package Center:
- Click Manual Install:

- Click Browse and select the spk file you downloaded. Click Next:

- Click Agree:

- Accept the terms of the license agreement:

- Finally, click Done:

Audirvāna is now installed and started; head over to the Audirvāna Remote app to use Audirvāna on your Synology NAS!
Install Audirvāna on QNAP NAS
Connect to your QNAP GUI using Qfinder Pro to install Audirvāna.
Note: you must have the app Music Station installed to use Audirvāna on your QNAP NAS.Once connected, open the App Center:
- Click on the steering wheel:

- Ensure the setting “Allow installation of applications without a valid digital signature” is enabled:

- Click on the steering wheel:

- Then click Browse and select the qpkg file you downloaded. Click Install and OK.
Click on “I understand the risks and want to install this application.” then Install:

Audirvāna is now installed and started; head over to the Audirvāna Remote app to use Audirvāna on your QNAP NAS!
