To install and update Audirvana on Windows 10/11, you need an App-Installer; this app is installed by default when using Windows 10 1803.

You can install it free from the Microsoft Store if you don't have it.

Depending on the version of Windows you use, you may require some extra steps before doing the installation of Audirvāna:

Note: in case you have an error, please check if App Installer is up to date. If it's the case, contact us with a screenshot of the error you get.

Install Audirvāna on Linux

The installation process depends on the Linux distribution:

  • For Debian-based distributions (Ubuntu, Linux Mint, etc.):

Download the **.deb file** for your system architecture from our website

Install the package using your package manager or terminal:

   sudo dpkg -i /path/to/audirvana-studio_X.X.X.X_amd64.deb

Replace the filename with the actual file you downloaded.

Install Avahi Daemon (required for network discovery):

sudo apt-get install avahi-daemon

  • For RPM-based distributions (Fedora, CentOS, etc.)

Download the **.rpm file** for your system architecture from our website

Install the package using your package manager or terminal:

sudo dnf install /path/to/audirvana-studio_X.X.X.X_x86_64.rpm

Replace the filename with the actual file you downloaded.

Once installed, the executable will be located at /opt/audirvana/studio or /opt/audirvana/origin, where you can start Audirvāna.

You have two options to run it:

  • Start manually

/opt/audirvana/studio

or

/opt/audirvana/origin

  • Run as a service at boot

To automatically start Audirvāna on system startup, run:

sudo /opt/audirvana/studio/setAsService.sh enable
sudo /opt/audirvana/studio/setAsService.sh start

Important Notes:

- Avahi Daemon is essential for the Audirvāna Remote app to discover your Audirvāna instance on the network

- No GUI on Linux: Audirvāna Studio runs headless on Linux, so you'll control it entirely through the Audirvāna Remote app on your phone or tablet

- Configuration files are stored in ~/.config/audirvana

- Database and logs are in ~/.local/share/audirvana
