How do I uninstall Audirvāna Studio/Origin?

In this article:


Depending on your operating system, the uninstallation of the software is different:


Completely uninstall Audirvāna on macOS 

  • Use your secondary click on the Audirvāna Studio/Audirvāna Origin icon in the Applications folder and select  "Move to Bin":



Note: We do note remove your playlists & local favorites on macOS. You will need to remove your AudirvanaDatabase.sqlite file if you want to.


To remove your playlists and local favorites, you need to go to AudirvanaDatabase.sqlite file using Finder:

1. Press the ⇧ ⌘ L keyboard keys simultaneously or the option (or alt) key and keep it pressed.
2. In the Finder window that opens, navigate into Application Support, then Audirvana
3. You'll find there the file AudirvanaDatabase.sqlite



If you can't find the Library folder from Step 1, you can choose to always show the Library folder by going to the Home folder and in the View option of Finder, select the option 'Show Library Folder':




Completely uninstall Audirvāna on Windows

  • Use the Windows search bar and search for Studio or Origin, depending on the software you use, and select the option "Uninstall":



Note: Everything is removed automatically, including your playlists and local favorites.


If you want to keep your playlists and local playlists, you have two choices:


  • Do a backup of your playlist & favorites in Audirvāna (Local/Library>Local favorites, playlists, and artists pictures backup):



  • Move the AudirvanaDatabase.sqlite file to a different location (Local/Library> Audirvāna Database File Path):




Note: we recommend this location: C:\Users\[your session name]\AppData\Local\Audirvana\Audirvana



Completely uninstall Audirvāna on Linux


Removing a package on Linux is done differently based on the Linux distro you are using:
