There are multiple reasons why your device is not detected by Audirvāna when you connect it to your computer. The guide below will help you quickly tackle this issue.

Step 1: Make sure the device is turned on


Since Audirvāna relies on the device detected by your computer, your computer, and Audirvāna can't see your device if the unit is not powered on. Once powered on, you should be able to see it both on your computer settings and the Audirvāna output menu.


Step 2: Make sure the USB cable you use with a different device


As with every component, a USB cable can eventually stop working correctly. You can check if the cable is not faulty by connecting it to a different device (e.g., a printer, your phone, etc.). If the device you connected with this USB cable can't still be seen, you must try a different USB cable.


Step 3: Ensure you see your device in the Audio Midi Setup app.


Since Audirvāna relies on the device detected by your computer, your computer, and Audirvāna can't see your device if the unit is not powered on. Once powered on, you should be able to see it both on your computer settings and the Audirvāna output menu.

Devices like THX Onyx or CLARUS CODA DACs need headphones connected before they automatically power on and are detected by your computer. We recommend checking your device specification to see if these requirements exist before using your DAC.
